Garret Smith on Smithonvoip wonders why he should use the Rebtel conference call application, Group Talk, instead of the Iotum conference application. One obvious reason is that the Rebtel application works in 40 countries, not only in the US. This means that you do not have to use a third part supplier for the call to the US. Just call the local number to join the call! Iotum has some nice features, e.g. raising your hand, which probably is useful in a formal meeting. A great feature in the Group Talk application from Rebtel is that the conference can be opened with just a phone call, without rescheduling. This means that you can use the conference call number for ad hoc conference calls as well as scheduled ones. When you are the first one to call in you get the option of letting the system call all participants to inform that the conference starts.

I know that there are a lot of applications on Facebook that are only for fun and some have taken off rapidly. (I've got hook on a few myself!). Eventhough the current Rebtel application Reb Me (http://apps.facebook.com/myrebtel) does aim to be primarily fun the outcome of the application WILL be hysterically FUN for the ones that pay their own phone bills.
So for Rebtel (http://www.rebtel.com) it is important to be on Facebook as a business strategy BUT the intresting thing is that it also is a great business strategy for companies to use applications such as the Reb Me application.

The week has been great and had a lot of good discussions on how to continue the work on spreading the good Rebtel news. The facebook activities promoting Reb Me have been a lot of fun.
Just got out of a meeting where I was updated on the vast world of facebook. It seems that there is a lot of applications there to choose from. I'm glad that our RebMe-application, http://apps.facebook.com/myrebtel, is one that is not only cool app but gives real added value to your social life!
